Google Chrome Download & Installation

Google Chrome web browser developed by Google Inc, is free, fast and easy to use, and keep you safe while surfing the Web. It is currently available for almost all platforms like Windows, Linux, Android, Mac OS X, Apple Iphones.

Follow these simple steps, to install Google Chrome on your Computer.

1. Always download the installer file from this location https://google.com/chrome. It ensures that you’ll get latest, updated and secured version of Google Chrome with latest Google Chrome’s features.
2. Review and read the “Terms of Service”, if OK to you, then click “Accept and Install”
   to continue. You can enable the feature to send Google crash reports of the Chrome and to send statistics of usages by selecting the checkbox at the bottom. Personal information like name, email address, Google and Gmail Account information, any other account information or passwords will not be send by Chrome.
3. When Chrome the installation finishes, a dialog box with “Welcome to Google Chrome” will appear. Click on Start Google Chrome to finish the default installation or you can click Customize these settings if you want to your installation and to change other settings. Default installation optionsWhen you click Start Google Chrome, then installation finished automatically by importing your home page setting, browsing history, bookmarks, and saved passwords from current default web browser such as Firefox or Internet Explorer. Installation also add Google Chrome shortcuts to desktop, Start menu and Quick Launch bar of computers.If you don’t want to import above things, You can stop the process of importing anytime by clicking on Stop import button. You will always be able to import other web browser information at a any time in future, if you want to.

   Customized installation options

   You will be able to customize the way that Chrome browser imports information from other internet browsers and how shortcuts for Google Chrome should be created. It will be your choice if you want to make Chrome your default internet browser or not.

   • Importing
     • Don’t want to import other browser information at this time, just uncheck the ‘Import settings from’ checkbox.
     • If you want to import information from a other browser, just check the ‘Import settings from’ checkbox and select other browsers name from the drop-down menu from Internet Explorer and Firefox. Currently import from other browsers is not available except from Firefox or Internet Explorer.
   • Default browser
     The checkbox with title ‘Make Google Chrome the default browser’ will be selected automatically, deselect the checkbox, if you don’t want Google Chrome as your default browser to open links by default, else leave it checked.
   • Shortcuts
     By default installation will create Icons on your Start menu, computer desktop and Quick Launch bar to launch the Google Chrome program from different parts of your computer. if you don’t want to place icons/shortcuts, just uncheck all check boxes for places where you don’t need shortcuts links to appear. When all customization and options for installation process are finished click OK.
