Mediatonic developed Fall Guys, formerly Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. It is a platform battle royale video game. Up to 60 players can control jellybean-like creatures. They compete against each other in a series of randomly chosen mini games such as tag or obstacle courses. As the rounds progress, players are eliminated until the final winner is chosen. This game is inspired by game shows such as Takeshi’s Castle, and It’s a Knockout.
Devolver Digital released the game for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4 in August 2020. After Mediatonic was acquired, Epic Games received the publishing rights. The game was released on other platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It also supports cross-platform play across all platforms. The game also adopted a seasonal battle pass system to monetize it, allowing players to customize their avatars.
Fall Guys received favorable reviews from critics due to its chaotic game play and visually stunning appearance. After the game became free to play, it was a commercial success. The game sold more than 10,000,000 copies and attracted more than 50,000,000 players. Mediatonic has made numerous updates to the game since its launch. The current eighth Season is space-themed.
How do you play Fall Guys?
Matches with battle royale-style gameplay can see up to 60 players competing. The jellybean-like players move about a three-dimensional field with additional moves like jumping, climbing, and diving. You must complete each mini game correctly to be eligible for the next round. Some mini games require you to run towards the finish line, play tag with others, or combine elements of teamwork and running. For added difficulty, minigamesminigames often include obstacles around the map. If a player is too slow or falls into pink slime, they are removed from the minigameminigame. The remaining players will compete in the final round with a randomly selected minigameminigame for a smaller number of players. The last remaining player is declared the winner.
Use Kudos
Players can now purchase cosmetics, nameplates and name tags using Kudos. They no longer count towards Crown rank. All Crowns not spent before the game became free to play were converted to Kudos. Season 1: All Access added Show Bucks, an in-game currency that can be used for premium costumes, colour patterns, faceplates, and future Season Passes. Show Bucks can only be obtained through the Season Pass or microtransactions such as Fortnite’s V-Bucks.
Micro transactions are available for Show Bucks and Season Pass purchases. Season 4 introduced the “Crown Shards”, a currency that can be earned through playing in Squad Mode and completing daily challenges. Crown Shards can also be traded for other Crowns.
New costumes are often added to the collection, but they only last a short time. These costumes are from various video games and media franchises such as Half-Life and Portal, Godzilla and Team Fortress 2.
Fall Guys hosts new seasons about every 2 to 6 months. Each Season features a new theme and more content. In Season 4, Squad Mode was introduced. This mode allows four players to work together to earn points and advance to the next round.
Players must complete specific challenges
Season 5 introduced limited-time events where players must complete specific challenges to obtain exclusive costumes and other cosmetics. These events last anywhere from one to seven days and may be based on franchises such as Rachet & Clank or Aloy of Horizon Zero Dawn, Jungle Book, etc.
Sweet Thieves is a new season that introduced an invisible team (which is only visible when they move fast) and another section which isn’t. The Thieves, a hidden group, must bring sweets to the goals. Guardians try to stop them by using the grabbing mechanic to capture and imprison the Thieves.
Bean Hill Zone was introduced in Season 1: Free for All. It was Sega’s first-ever limited-time collaboration round. This round was similar to Bubble Trouble, except that the player collected Rings instead of Bubbles. This round was a limited-time event that had a show. The game was included in Solo Show and Squads Season 2: Satellite Scramble.
Fall Guys Game: Tips and Tricks
-
Time your jumps
Although it can be tempting to focus on your goal and not consider other options, there are many controls that you should take into consideration. First: Jumping is the first step. It can get you to the middle of the crowd, away from newbies, or help you get over the finish line in milliseconds.
-
It’s possible to fall and help others.
Sometimes, a good fall or dive can bring you closer to your goal than running. This is especially true for racing mini games. Although falling is inevitable, if you don’t do it deliberately, you might find yourself miles ahead of your intended destination. If you are unsure, fall.
-
Follow the crowd
Are you confused about where to go? Are you looking to play on a different board? Following your fellow band mates is a good idea in these situations. It’s safe to follow your fellow band mates if they seem to be moving in the same direction. It’s not wise to go, rogue if you don’t know what you are doing.

How to customize your bean
You can change the look of your Guy by going to the clothes hanger tab in the main menu. You can select from a variety of patterns, clothes, or theatrics. Participating in season passes and redeeming Kudos under the shopping cart tab will give you more customization options.
